Some experimentation with colours in photoshop. I have been trying to improve my digital drawing skills, mainly through practice and researching tutorials and advice in books and the internet. The book “Bold Visions” by Gary Tonge has been very helpful in understanding more about the various tools in photoshop. While doodling, I tried thinking about the various landscapes the princess could cross while fleeing her kingdom.
With the use of different brushes to make various textures, I came up with a quick sketch of a mountain range. I then played around with the hue and saturation trying to see the feel the drawing would have if it were made with cool or warmer colours.
While the cooler colours give a sense of security and peacefulness, I feel the second is a little more worrying.
